St.Mary's Church (Church of England)

St Mary's ChurchSt Mary’s is the Parish Church of Kingsclere.

There has been a church on the site for over 1000 years. The present building is of Norman origin but underwent a major restoration in 1848. A detailed history booklet is available from the bookstall in the church.

The building is open daily usually between 9 am and 5pm or dusk, whichever is earlier.  We welcome visitors and those seeking a quiet place to reflect or pray.

St Mary’s is home to a regular worshipping congregation and many people in the village support the church’s life and ministry in various ways.

For up to date information, including service times, visit www.clerewoodlands.org.uk or see the monthly Tower magazine or notices on the church noticeboard.

St Mary's is a United benefice and includes St Peter and St Paul, Ashford Hill.

At St Mary’s we have close links with our friends across the road at the Methodist Church. We join together for worship and social activity on several occasions during the year and we are currently collaborating on all our provision of worship and learning for children.

On several occasions in the year we now share worship with our Roman Catholic brothers and sisters in the village.  Visit our Website www.clerewoodlands.org.uk
