News from Kingsclere Primary School, 14March 2007

Congratulations to Alison Cleghorn and FKS: The Sutton Seed catalogue has raised £109 which will buy 3 music stands. The target was 6 stands at £33 each so orders will be accepted up until this Friday.

The book fair starts today and runs until Monday the 19th March. The school receives a commission on the books sold which is then spent on books for the library and classes.

This Friday, the school is supporting Red Nose Day (Comic Relief) with a "Wear Something Red" non – uniform day for a suggested donation of £1.

FKS are holding a Pamper Afternoon this Saturday afternoon from 1.30 to 4.30 pm (Entrance is £2 in advance from the School Office or £2.50 on the door). Enjoy!

Naomi House would like to invite our children to take part in a giant Easter Egg Hunt to be held on Easter Sunday, April 8th at Highclere Castle. They will be providing flyers to be sent home with your child in the near future.

Tina Mace is running in the London Marathon (22.04.07) and hopes to raise money for CLIC Sargent (a cancer charity for children with Leukaemia). On-line donations may be made using the web address www.justgiving.com/tinateresa and we wish Tina a successful run!

Please note that when children arrive after 8.55 am they must enter the school via the school office i.e. do not go straight to class.

As a school we are encouraging, as ever, children to drink water and eat healthy snacks (such as fresh fruit, vegetables, low sugar cereal bars, etc.). Please support the school with its healthy eating policy and avoid providing your child with other alternatives for consumption as snacks whilst they are in school.Healthy school dinners for this half term are £40.80 for a meal everyday and £8.50 for a meal on Fridays only (£1.70 per day). From the 1st April the traditional healthy school meal will be £1.80 per day
