Village ClubThe Village Club is a registered charity, No.233266A. Serving the Community for over a Century, the Village Club started life in the 1880s as the Kingsclere Coffee and Reading Rooms, a temperance alternative to the eleven village pubs. For well over a century the club has provided the community of Kingsclere with leisure and learning facilities. Over the last seven years the building has been comprehensively refurbished and extended to provide additional facilities and to improve access for disabled people. There are two meeting rooms, one seating up to sixty and the other (the Holding Room) up to twenty five people depending on the activity and a small committee room seating up to ten people. There is also a large garden with a floodlit stone patio and barbecue and there are high standard catering facilities, with both a kitchen and a beverage servery. Although licenced, private hirers will have to make their own arrangements for the dispensing of alcholic drinks. Other facilities include a photographic darkroom and a small computer suite.
