3/10.4 | Mowing & Maintenance contract specification: | |
| Six contractors had joined the bid. Cllrs Peach & Goff opened the tenders. A table was circulated to all Cllrs prior to the meeting for consideration. Cllr Smith was concerned as to whether a recommendation needed to be taken back to full committee before approval. The contract should have started 1st March and as the proposed contractors bid fell within the previously agreed budget the appointment could be made and need only go to full council to seal the contract.
It was proposed that Keiron Beattie be awarded the contract and this was resolved by 3 votes to 1 against. |

| Work began on 6th March with Cllr Bates working party removing old bridges. This was finished in half a day and thanks to all those involved for a good job done. Scour Protection Ltd begin work on abutments on 9th March. ABC begin installing new bridges on 17th March. All within budget £14,000, made up from A4A £2000, HCC £7000 & CEEF £5000. On schedule to complete within this financial year. | |

| Cllr Woodman and the Clerk are working on agreement for regular work three time a years from payback teams on a rolling rota. This is additional to ad hoc work. This will be used to undertake regular maintenance of pathways and verges previously undertaken by Parish Paths Group whose numbers are diminishing. |

| Clerk has received a request to place a memorial bench in the Old Cemetery in memory of her parent. This was agreed subject to design approval. Petitioner to pay all costs. |

3/10.9 | Fence in Allotments: | |
| Damage has been caused to the fence by rampaging ponies from the adjacent field following an attacked by dogs. Police are involved. Clerk to get quotes for repairs and look at insurance position. Also to check on who is liable for costs, dog owners or owner of ponies. |
